Cecily Legler Strong is a popular American comedian and stand-up actor well-known as a prominent character on the show 'Saturday Night Live'. After taking an improv training class at age nine and began her career as an actor. The initial plan was to become an actress but soon realized that she had talent for comedy. Thus, her main focus changed from acting to comedy improvisation. She began her career as a cruise ship performer with crew members of Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago and other improv troupes. Strong performed in popular shows like Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest, and Virgin Daiquiri, an female-only improv troupe. Strong made her mark in 2012 when she appeared on "Saturday night Live" the 39th season as a featured cast member anchoring the Weekend Update segment first with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. The role of Cecily in the episode 'The Girls You'd Rather Not Engage in Conversations with during a party" was the most reminscent episode of her series. She first made an appearance with a role as a star of the same film, titled "How to Sponsor the Uterus". She's spoken out against the treatment of women in showbiz in the form of bikini models rather as strong characters in mainstream movies.
